Westbound traffic will be shifted onto the freeway beginning at Cypress after the morning rush.

On Wednesday morning, construction crews began opening eastbound lanes at Kellogg and Rock Road.
Wichita Police and construction crews were on hand to make sure the two eastbound lanes opened smoothly.
Despite the change, construction supervisors said there were no accidents or wrecks as of the end of the afternoon rush hour.

11:18 am - Police say a woman suspected of shooting her two sons is now dead.
Police tell Eyewitness News the woman was dead when they went into the home she was holed up in since shortly after the shooting.
It appears she died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The trial of the man accused of killing abortion provider George Tiller has been continued to a later date.
Fifty-one-year-old Scott Roeder is scheduled to go to trial Monday on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated assault in the May 31 shooting at Tiller's church.
Georgia Cole, spokeswoman for the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office, said on Thursday that attorneys in the case are working to set a new trial date.

A man that escaped from the Hutchinson Correctional Faciliy on Saturday is now back in custody.
Authorities apprehended Steve Genton this morning in Hutchinson.

Rainbows United officially files for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
The filing came late Thursday night after the non-profit reported finding "financial irregularities" earlier this week.
A representative from Rainbows United says the organization has about $14 million in assets and $5.6 million in liabilities.

A Sedgwick County judge says there is enough evidence to put Scott Roeder on trial in the shooting death of Dr. Tiller.
